Kolawole Obasanya has over 9 years experience in the financial service industry cutting across corporate finance, financial advisory, capital raising, portfolio management, financial modeling, economic and financial market research, business development and relationship management.
He was a Manager in Lotus Capital Limited and the portfolio manager for Halal Fund, an ethical mutual fund with assets under management worth billions of naira. He was also actively involved in the first sub-sovereign Sukuk bond issuance in Sub Saharan Africa from product conception to approval, where N11.4 billion (approximately $73million) was raised to fund the construction of schools.
Kolawole has provided bankable reports and built financial models for businesses in hospitality, insurance and manufacturing industries and for public sector projects cutting across schools, road development, and urban renewal among others.
He is currently the Managing Director at Pletora Investment Limited, a company focused on business advisory, project finance advisory, commercial finance advisory, business valuation and appraisal and financial training.
Kolawole holds a BSc. degree in Economics from Delta State University, a Masters degree in Finance from the University of Lagos and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS). He is also an Authorised Dealer of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
